Karsten Solberg is a design-focused architect with over 15 years of experience leading projects from urban master plans to nationally recognized institutional buildings. A LEED BD+C professional since 2011, Karsten brings a rigorous eye for detail and a clear design vision to every phase of work.

She began her career at Sasaki Associates in Boston, contributing to large-scale, award-winning designs before moving to Rochester in 2012. At CJS Architects, she served eight years as Project Architect on some of the region’s most dynamic civic and cultural projects. Since joining IN/EX Architecture in 2020, Karsten continues to champion quality, clarity, and strong project outcomes.

She also served as co-chair of the Rochester Preservation Board for over six years, making her well-versed in land-use procedures and public interest design.
