Alta Vista

Alta Vista is a transformative affordable housing development located in downtown Rochester, NY, at the corner of Pleasant and Franklin Streets. This six-story building will bring 76 energy-efficient apartments and 2,600 square feet of commercial space to a previously vacant site adjacent to St. Joseph’s Park.
Designed to meet Passive House (Phius CORE 2021) standards, the project incorporates sustainable strategies including a rooftop solar array, high-performance building envelope, and all-electric systems to reduce energy consumption and lower utility costs for residents.
Alta Vista is developed in partnership with Edgemere Development, Inc. and funded through a mix of public and private resources, including Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and support from New York State Homes and Community Renewal.
