The Square serves as the University’s central hub, functioning like a town square where students and faculty gather to research, socialize, and showcase achievements.​

Previously lacking identity, the redesign integrates modern functionality with the Greek-revival entry lobby’s aesthetics, blending its formal symmetry and palette with warm, wood-built seating for a welcoming yet tech-forward space.​

The library’s traditional hierarchy is reimagined, replacing the outdated reference desk with multiple service points and a central, approachable “Q & i” station for dynamic librarian-user interactions. Flexible seating options—including group tables, soft seating, and semi-private booths—offer customizable spaces for collaboration or privacy.
